Job summary

A leading vehicle manufacturing company in Kedah, Malaysia seeks a Quality Supervisor for its Paint Shop operations. Responsibilities include supervising daily quality activities, reporting performance metrics, planning and validating quality standards for new products, and resolving quality complaints. The ideal candidate has experience in automotive quality supervision and a strong commitment to safety and improvement methodologies. This position is critical in maintaining Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale (SQDCM) within the team.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising quality operations in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills for quality performance evaluation.
• Knowledge of safety and quality improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily Paint Shop operations related to quality.
• Report on production and quality performance.
• Plan and validate new product quality levels.
• Coordinate overtime planning for production.
• Participate in quality briefings related to the Paint Shop.
• Solve quality complaints related to the Paint Shop.
• Supervise vehicle database for traceability.
• Plan manpower skills enhancement.
• Ensure 5S, safety, kaizen, and ICC activities.
• Keep SQDCM under control.

Job description

• To supervise the daily Paint Shop operation related to quality activities at Paint Shop 1.
• To report Paint shop production and quality performance (daily / weekly).
• To plan, prepare inspection documents and validate new product quality level for Paint shop.
• To coordinate over time planning (if requested by production).
• To participate quality briefing related to Paint shop with the related shop.
• To solve quality complaint related to paint shop.
• To supervise vehicle database for traceability purpose and analysis.
• To plan manpower skills enhancement.
• To ensure 5S, safety, kaizen and ICC activities for quality improvement.
• To carry out task as per requested by superior.
• To always keep Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Morale (SQDCM) of the team in control.

Inokom is involved in the assembly and manufacturing of light commercial vehicles as well as contract assembly. Its manufacturing facility is located in Padang Meha, Kulim, occupying 200 acres of freehold land. Production first commenced in August 1997.
