Job summary

A manufacturing company in Johor, Malaysia is seeking a diligent Technician to assist Technical Engineers in new product/sample preparation, conduct testing for process improvement, and ensure compliance with quality management standards. The successful candidate will hold a Diploma in a relevant field and have at least 1 year of QC or QA experience. This role requires working in a challenging environment and managing time effectively, while supporting QA activities and reporting any abnormalities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of working experience in Quality Control (QC) or Quality Assurance (QA) is an advantage.
  • Ability to work in a hot and noisy environment.
  • Self-disciplined with good time management skills.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge are required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Technical Engineer in new product/sample preparation, trials, and external testing.
  • Conduct testing for process improvement, material evaluation, and product quality.
  • Monitor performance of critical orders and collect data for process control.
  • Perform lab tests, verify results, and maintain equipment and records properly.
  • Support QA activities like process audits, rework, and non-conformance handling.
  • Ensure compliance with QMS, EHS, GMP, ISCC and 5S standards.
  • Report abnormalities and assist in implementing improvement plans.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
