Job description

Responsibilities

• To manage the output quality of area assigned (IQA/IPQA/Product Quality).
• Verification on inspection output & supervise team performance.
• To manage manpower & resources, OT arrangement, capacity planning & utilization.
• Identify team weakness, conduct training & drive for improvement.
• Project review & propose for measuring equipment/manpower up grade.
• QC room & measuring equipment maintenance & 5S.
• Monitoring of measuring equipment calibration status & activities.
• Verification on the issue feedback by inspector or technician. Communication with production/assembly for investigation or improvement.
• Proactively establish preventive action program to eliminate quality issue.
• To perform machine buy-off, ensure parts assembled are follow written procedures or prints or drawing or diagram.
• To review & to revise machine buy-off checklist when necessary.
• To perform weekly quality data collection and data analysis for the KPI reporting.
• Assist in QMS establishment, implementation, maintenance and improvement.
• Assist in customer audit and third party QMS certification assessment.
• Other duties and assignment as instructed by supervisor from time to time.
• To comply to all requirements of ISO (inclusive of all standards approved by the Management) and to adhere to general safety practices, standard operating procedure, work instructions, policies and guidelines provided by the company.

Qualifications

• Degree in Welding/Mechanical Engineering/Manufacturing or equivalent years of related experience.
• Certified in AWS or CSWIP Welding Inspector.
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in hands-on quality assurance of fabrication on Metal Works, CNC Machining.
• Work independently & communicate well with process owner, sub-con & internal/external customer.
• Good understanding on Metal Work and CNC machining process, drawing, tolerance & inspection operation (IQA, IPQA & OQA). Able to operate in-house measuring instruments such as caliper, micrometer, pin/block gauge & profile projector. Strong data analysis skill & able to establish improvement plan.
