Job summary

A technology organization in Malaysia is looking for a Procurement Specialist to manage all procurement activities. The successful candidate will develop procurement processes, select vendors, and negotiate contracts while ensuring timely deliveries. Ideal applicants should hold a diploma or higher, preferably with 1 to 3 years of experience. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply as guidance will be provided. The role requires strong communication and analytical skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all procurement activities for the organization. Provide advice, assistance and follow-up on procurement, procedures, and contracts.
  • To develop, manage and co-ordinate the procurement processes.
  • Identify and select vendors that meets the criteria of pricing, quality, quantity availability and delivery dates
  • Process purchase requisitions / orders within purchasing authority
  • Establish and negotiate contract terms and conditions, and maintain supplier relationships
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure goods are delivered on time
  • Manage suppliers on quality issues and co-ordinate changes in material specification
  • Responsible for the preparation and process of documents and to ensure proper record keeping and filing
  • Maintain and provide reports on the status of procurement activities
Qualifications
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in any related disciplines
  • Preferably with 1 to 3 years working experiences
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • A self-driven, hands on and motivated individual who can contribute positively within a team environment
  • Fast learner with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Possess analytical skills and is proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP knowledge is an advantage.
