Job description

Handling purchasing activities, including sourcing from external suppliers, price negotiation, handling requester inquiries, monitoring material and services delivery completeness.

Manage direct & indirect material inventories stock level and collaborate with respective buyer for placing orders to ensure no shortage and excess of materials.

Conduct research on potential products, vendors, and services, comparing price, quality, and delivery terms to ensure the best value for the company.

Negotiate contracts, terms of agreement, and pricing with suppliers to secure advantageous deals and cost-effective solutions.

Evaluate supplier performance, approve payments, and maintain positive, long-term relationships with key vendors.

Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation.

Monitor stock levels, track orders, and coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure timely delivery and proper storage of purchased items.

Maintain and update comprehensive records of purchased products, supplier information, delivery details, and invoices.

Collaborate with internal departments to identify purchasing needs, assess requirements, and ensure procurement aligns with budgetary constraints and quality standards.

Conduct market research to stay abreast of emerging trends, new products, and business opportunities.

Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses, and identify opportunities for cost-saving and process optimization.

Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and relevant legal and ethical standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, or a related field.

Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent, or in a similar procurement role (2+ years preferred).
