We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Purchasing Executive to join our dynamic team at Al-Max Glass & Aluminium Works Sdn Bhd. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials and supplies to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of our manufacturing facility in Selangor.

What you'll be doing
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favourable terms and pricing
  • Preparing and issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and ensuring timely fulfillment of orders
  • Monitoring inventory levels and identifying potential shortages or overstock situations, and taking appropriate action
  • Collaborating with the production team to understand their material requirements and ensuring timely availability
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to all purchasing activities
  • Analyzing purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve overall procurement processes
  • Assisting with the implementation of procurement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance
What we're looking for
  • A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the aluminium industry
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively liaise with suppliers
  • Proficient in inventory management, including forecasting, analysis, and optimization
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle unexpected situations
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation
