We are seeking a proactive, experienced, and highly organized Purchasing Executive to lead and optimize our procurement activities. The successful candidate will manage sourcing of materials and components, develop strategic supplier relationships, oversee purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery while contributing to cost optimization and quality improvement. This role plays a key part in supporting production efficiency and successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing of materials and components based on BOM, technical specifications, and project requirements.
- Develop, evaluate, and maintain strategic supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing, superior quality, and reliable lead times.
- Prepare comprehensive cost analysis, budget planning, and procurement reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee Purchase Requisitions (PR) and ensure timely, accurate issuance of Purchase Orders (PO). Monitor supplier performance, manage delivery schedules, and resolve procurement-related issues proactively.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering and Finance teams to align procurement strategies with operational and project objectives.
- Optimize inventory management, ensuring adequate stock while minimizing excess and carrying costs. Ensure all purchased materials and components comply with company standards, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Participate in supplier negotiations, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate procurement documentation for tracking, compliance, and auditing purposes.
- Fluent in Mandarin (reading, writing, speaking) is mandatory for managing Chinese-language documents from China, communicating with the Chinese owner, suppliers, and internal teams.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, and supplier management, preferably in manufacturing, automation, or sheet metal industries.
- Strong knowledge of materials (aluminum, steel, stainless steel, etc.) and standard mechanical/electrical components.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for cost analysis, budgeting, and procurement reporting.
- Ability to review BOM, interpret technical drawings, manage purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery.
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related fields.
- Minimum 2–5 years procurement experience, able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, responsible, proactive, with strong negotiation and problem‑solving skills.
