Job summary

A leading industry association is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Public Relations & Communications Executive. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, or English, with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include media releases, liaising with the press, and organizing press conferences. Proficient communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia are required. This position is located in Selangor, Malaysia, and fresh graduates will also be considered.

PUBLIC RELATIONS & COMMUNICATIONS EXECUTIVE

Master Builders Association Malaysia is seeking suitable dedicated & dynamic candidates for the following position:

Requirements

• Degree holders preferably in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing or English Language with at least 2 years of relevant working experience. Fresh graduates will be considered too.
• Computer literacy – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Relevant experience in liaison with the media/press.
• Good spoken and written communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. Written and spoken knowledge of other languages will be an added advantage.
• A well-rounded Public Relations professional with strong communication skills.
• Proactive, creative and passionate about work.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare media releases.
• Communicate and liaise with the media/press.
• Prepare and handle press conferences.
• Handle enquiries and interview requests from the media/press/external organisations.
• Organise dialogues and meetings with Government Agencies/Embassies/External Organisations.
• Monitor daily news related to the construction industry.
• Monitor new policy issues by the relevant Government Agencies.
• Prepare the monthly Bulletin, President’s Message and monthly video.
• Help handle the publications of the Association.
• Prepare the annual report of the Association.
• Prepare speeches and messages for events.
• Handle membership marketing, promotion and activities.
• Undertake ad-hoc duties from time to time.
