A logistics management company is seeking a Project Manager to oversee projects in the freight forwarding industry. This remote role requires at least 4 years of project management experience, particularly in operations and process improvement. The ideal candidate must communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders in China, demonstrate excellent data analysis skills, and lead regional teams across APAC. Proficiency in CargoWise One and strong Excel skills are highly preferred.
Lead and support project management activities in the freight forwarding industry, particularly business process improvement projects, performance optimization initiatives, and KPI improvement plans.
Responsibilities include the development of project management documents (budgets, schedules, scope statements, and plans), execution of project management administrative tasks (managing invoices, purchase orders, and inventory reports), and collaboration with team members across APAC regions (China and India teammates) to follow up on projects and action items.
Supervise the project procurement process.
Coordinate stakeholder meetings to assess needs, define project requirements, acceptance criteria, and project timelines; coordinate allocation of project resources to ensure the team has what is needed at the right time; assign tasks to team members and clarify expectations for milestones and deliverables; generate high-level project progress reports and provide updates to stakeholders and management.
Schedule stakeholder meetings, document outcomes, and generate reports.
