Our client, a reputable and established property developer in Johor Bahru, is expanding their team and seeking an experienced Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager to support upcoming commercial and high-rise developments. This is a great opportunity for candidates with strong site experience, technical expertise, and proven leadership in construction project management.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Project Execution Plan to ensure on-time and cost-effective completion.
- Monitor construction progress, identify potential delays, and execute corrective actions to avoid LAD and ensure timely CCC issuance.
- Conduct project briefings and coordinate daily site operations.
- Identify project risks and ensure proper mitigation measures are implemented.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, authorities, internal teams, and management for smooth project delivery.
- Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, statutory requirements, and safety regulations.
- Resolve drawing discrepancies, technical issues, and site-related challenges.
- Manage consultant deliverables and ensure timely information flow to site teams and contractors.
- Verify contractor claims and variation orders based on contract terms.
- Attend meetings with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities.
- Liaise with authorities for approvals, inspections, and clearances required for CCC.
- Lead and guide the implementation team to maintain high-quality construction standards.
- Enforce strict safety compliance across all construction sites.
- Support project handover and oversee defect rectification during the DLP.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to management and stakeholders.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior.
📚 Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction, Architecture, or related fields.
- 6–10 years of experience in construction and project management, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong site management experience and solid technical knowledge in construction methodologies and regulations.
- Preferably from contractor or property development backgrounds.
- Experience in shopping mall or high-rise construction is an added advantage.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with consultants, contractors, clients, and authorities.
📌 Additional Information
- Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Salary: RM8,000 – RM13,000
- Company Car / Petrol Allowance: Provided (details to be discussed in interview)
- Travel: No interstate travel required
