What You’ll Responsible For:
  • To plan, coordinate and manage ship recycling projects from setup to completion, in accordance with approved procedures, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, authorities, and yards involved in the ship recycling process.
  • Develop detailed project plans to track progress, resource allocation, and timelines.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and costs, ensuring quality and timely completion.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to ship recycling industry rules, such as international conventions and local regulations for worker safety and environmental protection.
  • Manage project / site teams, enforce safety protocols, and resolve technical or operational issues.
  • Stay updated on technological advancements, best practices, and regulatory changes in ship recycling.
What Experience and Skills Required:

Mandatory requirements:

  • Good experience in ship recycling, or related maritime and environmental sectors.
  • Good knowledge of ship recycling regulations and market.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and the ability to work in challenging environments.
  • Knowledge of Class rules and industry standards.
  • Proactive self-motivated team player with high integrity.
  • Excellent communication skills and a very good command of spoken and written English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
Desirable Skills / Experience:
  • Work experience in quality shipyard for ship repair or commercial department dealing with estimation and invoicing.
  • Or work experience in Shipping Company related to Drydocking supervision.
  • A strong desire to succeed in developing the business through excellence in performance.
  • Knowledge on relevant ISO standards and requirements.
