Job summary

A construction company in Ipoh is seeking an experienced project manager to oversee construction projects. You will be responsible for developing detailed project plans, managing budgets, and ensuring timely and quality project execution. The ideal candidate has at least 7 years of experience in project management, along with a relevant bachelor's degree. This position requires strong leadership, risk management skills, and effective communication with stakeholders.

Budget Management

Manage budgets, monitoring costs and ensuring projects stay within financial constraints.

Team Coordination

Liaising and collaborate with PBT, architects, consultants, contractor and subcontractor to ensure smooth project execution.

Quality Assurance and Safety Compliance

Monitoring construction processes to maintain quality control and compliance with specification standard, drawing and building codes in the contract and legal requirements.

Conducting regular safety inspection and ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.

Project Supervision

Managing and directing construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time within budget and to the required quality standards. Tracking project progress, preparing site reports and addressing any delays or issues on site.

Risk Management and Problem-Solving

Identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them.

Addressing on site challenges, emergencies or other issues that arise during construction. Implementing solutions to improve construction processes.

Communication

Report progress to stakeholders and maintain clear communication with all parties involved.

Incumbent Requirement

A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

Proven experience minimum at least 7 years in project management, project monitoring and project reporting. Familiarity with JKR and PAM contracts and construction-related procurement.

Knowledge of procurement strategies and compliance standards.

Leadership and organizational abilities to manage contractor and consultant interactions.

Precision in managing budgets, ensuring compliance, and maintaining accurate documentation.
