A construction and engineering firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to coordinate and manage projects from initiation to completion. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with quality standards, managing budgets, and leading site teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This position also includes interactions with clients, consultants, and authorities, ensuring successful project delivery within established timelines.

Plan, coordinate, and manage projects from initiation to completion within approved scope, timeline, and budget.
Prepare and monitor project schedules, work programmes, and milestones.
Ensure all works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, contracts, and relevant standards.
Monitor project costs and ensure expenditures remain within approved budgets.
Manage manpower allocation, materials, subcontractors, and equipment efficiently.
Identify potential cost overruns and propose cost-control or corrective actions to Management.
Lead and coordinate site teams, supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Ensure productivity, discipline, and proper conduct of all personnel under the project.
Conduct regular site meetings and ensure clear task assignments and follow-ups.
Act as the main point of contact between the Company, clients, consultants, and authorities.
Attend progress meetings, technical discussions, inspections, and site walkthroughs.
Ensure timely submission of reports, method statements, drawings, and documentation.
Ensure works comply with contractual requirements, quality standards, and statutory regulations.
Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
Rectify defects, non‑conformance issues, and outstanding works within agreed timelines.
Ensure strict compliance with safety, health, and environmental (SHE) requirements at all times.
Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures to minimise delays, accidents, or losses.
Enforce site safety rules and cooperate with safety officers and authorities.
Prepare and submit weekly/monthly progress reports to Management.
Maintain proper records including site diaries, variation orders, claims, and correspondence.
Highlight project issues, risks, and delays promptly with recommended solutions.
Identify variation works and coordinate with relevant parties for approval.
Prepare and support claims for variations, extensions of time (EOT), or additional costs where applicable.
Ensure all claims are properly documented and submitted within contractual timelines.
Represent the Company professionally at all times.
Safeguard the Company’s interests, reputation, and contractual position.
Be accountable for project performance, delivery, and outcomes assigned by Management.
Carry out any other duties, responsibilities, or assignments as directed by Management from time to time, consistent with the position of Project Manager.
