Job description

The Operation teams at Shopee covers the operational end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the Shopee platform, to the moment the buyer receives the products. The team analyses and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates. The Operations team comprises Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations and Fraud.

Job Description:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of current stock profiles and warehouse utilization data to develop optimal layout plans and storage type recommendations that maximize space efficiency and accessibility.
• Continuously monitor warehouse utilization and associated costs, identifying key indicators to determine the ideal timeline for warehouse expansion or optimization projects, aiming for cost-effective solutions and proactive capacity planning.
• Strategically determine and propose ideal warehouse expansion methods, including the feasibility and benefits of setting up satellite warehouses, operating multi-location warehouses, and implementing innovative layout optimizations to create significant additional storage capacity.
• Evaluate the availability and suitability of various automation tools (e.g., ASRS, AGV, Conveyor Belts), conducting cost-benefit analyses and ROI projections to drive warehouse efficiency improvements.
• Lead end-to-end warehouse expansion projects, encompassing sourcing potential warehouse locations, meticulously managing project budgets and timelines, and effectively liaising with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders (e.g., Logistics, Procurement, IT) on renovation plans, shelf setup, and electrical wiring to ensure seamless execution.
• Actively participate in various ad-hoc projects focused on enhancing overall warehouse processes and efficiency, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, supply chain, project management or any related qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in consulting and/or project management, with a strong preference for candidates with direct involvement in warehouse design, implementation, or significant process improvement projects within a warehouse environment.
• Demonstrated strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative and practical solutions.
• Solid data analysis skills, including the ability to interpret complex datasets and generate actionable insights.
• Proven ability to work independently in a complex and diverse environment, demonstrating strong initiative and self-direction.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences and build strong working relationships across teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organizational and time-management skills. Experience with project management methodologies is a plus.
