Job summary

Job description

Prepare, review, and revise shop drawings and material submissions for consultant/client approval.

Manage CAD and 3D drawings for CSA scopes using AutoCAD or equivalent software.

Liaise with design teams to ensure design intent is accurately reflected on site.

Document and submit ID-related drawings, material boards, and client finishes selections.

Site Coordination

Conduct site inspections to verify compliance, buildability, and as-built accuracy.

Coordinate with site supervisors and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.

Support ID-related installations (cabinetry, finishes, built-ins) and monitor workmanship.

Attend technical meetings and site walkdowns to address design or dimensional conflicts.

Engage with clients, consultants, and authorities to ensure timely approvals.

Respond promptly to RFIs and follow up on outstanding feedback.

Present submission progress and technical clarifications during meetings.

Coordinate with ID consultants on finishes, layout, and material intent.

Technical Reporting & Documentation

Maintain accurate engineering logs, drawing registers, and revision history.

Prepare technical memos and reports for internal and external use.

Assist in as-built documentation and project close-out submissions.

Track ID-specific deliverables such as mock-up approvals, sample boards, and change records.

Requirements
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline (recognized by BEM or LAM).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in project engineering within the construction industry.
  • Strong background in CSA scopes.
  • Familiarity with Malaysian construction practices and consultant processes preferred.
  • Experience in Interior Design coordination is an advantage.
  • Exposure to commercial, mixed-use, or high-rise projects is an advantage.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and at least one 3D modelling software (Revit, SketchUp, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of UBBL, CIDB Act, OSHA 1994, and local building codes.
  • Skilled in multidisciplinary drawing coordination and clash resolution.
  • Able to interpret ID specifications, drawings, and mood boards, and coordinate implementation.

  • Willing to travel to site when required.
