Project Engineer (M&E | Open for Fresh | 13th month bonus) - ID: 689603

We are seeking a Project Engineer (Electrical) for planning, coordinating, and supervising all electrical-related works within the company’s Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) construction projects.

The role ensures timely project execution, technical compliance, and effective coordination with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams. Training is provided!

Sample Projects: power supply systems, solar power systems, EV charging systems, semiconductor data centers etc.

Job Responsibilities

Project Planning & Coordination

• Assist the Project Manager in developing overall project plans, schedules, and resource requirements.
• Review project specifications and technical documentation before execution.
• Coordinate electrical works with civil, structural, mechanical, and other services disciplines.
• Prepare work programs, material schedules, and manpower planning.

Site Execution & Supervision

• Lead and supervise daily electrical installation works on-site.
• Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, and industry standards.
• Monitor installation works for MV, LV, ELV, generators, UPS, grounding systems, lighting, small power, and electrical infrastructure.
• Resolve site issues promptly to avoid delays and ensure smooth project progress.

Technical & Engineering Support

• Review and verify technical submissions including shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
• Provide engineering solutions and technical clarifications to clients and consultants.
• Conduct site testing and commissioning for electrical systems.
• Coordinate with OEM vendors on equipment installation, interfaces, and commissioning schedules.

Compliance, Safety & Quality

• Ensure all electrical works comply with Malaysian Standards (MS IEC), IEE regulations, Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) requirements, and project specifications.
• Support QAQC team in inspections, quality verifications, and closure of NCRs.
• Work closely with HSE teams to ensure safe work execution following DOSH & safety guidelines.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Any experience working in a team.
• Possesses own car / transport.
• 2-4 years of experience M&E construction projects are advantageous but not required.
