Job description

The Project Engineer (Electrical) is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and ensuring that all electrical works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and safety standards.

You will play an important role, including:

• Supervise and manage electrical works at the project site.
• Review electrical drawings, technical specifications, and construction plans.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers.
• Ensure project execution complies with the approved schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
• Prepare method statements, shop drawings, and project progress reports.
• Monitor installation of electrical systems such as wiring, distribution boards, lighting, power points, and related systems.
• Provide technical support and resolve electrical issues on site.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, statutory requirements, and electrical codes.
• Attend site meetings and report project progress to management.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical works.

To succeed in this role, we will need you to have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience as a Project Engineer or Electrical Engineer.
• Good knowledge of building electrical systems and construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and under pressure.
• Registered with the relevant electrical authority (e.g. Energy Commission) is an added advantage.
