An engineering company in Shah Alam is seeking a Project Engineer to lead and oversee electrical engineering projects. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and have a strong background in power system analysis. Responsibilities include analyzing technical drawings, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring design compliance with established standards. Lead, coordinate, and oversee the planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within your assigned area.
Prepare, schedule, and coordinate with related departments to ensure all deadlines and budgetary requirements are met.
2. Technical Analysis:
Analyse technical drawings and specifications to determine the electrical requirements of each project.
Interpret client needs and ensure these are accurately reflected in the project specifications.
Collaborate with design engineers using CAD software to develop and refine project designs.
Ensure that all designs meet client requirements and industry standards to meet customer satisfactions.
4. Compliance Review:
Review product designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
Ensure that all project activities adhere to established guidelines and regulations.
5. Technical Coordination:
Coordinate technical developments, scheduling, and resolution of design and test issues.
Facilitate communication between departments to address and resolve any engineering challenges.
Work closely with the Project Manager and other departments to develop more efficient project methods.
Strive to maintain and enhance the project's profitability through innovative solutions.
7. Problem Solving:
Diagnose and troubleshoot project-related issues, providing effective solutions to ensure project continuity.
8. Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare interim and completion project reports for documentation and reference purposes.
Maintain accurate records of project progress and outcomes.
Prepare training materials if necessary.
9. Additional Responsibilities:
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management from time to time.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field.
Equivalent tertiary qualifications will also be considered.
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
1-2 years of experience in switchboard design and manufacturing is preferred.
Strong background in power system analysis and the principles of Low and Medium Voltage Systems.
Knowledge of IEC standards, specifically for Low Voltage and Medium Voltage products (Siemens preferred).
Proficiency in AutoCAD for switchboard design.
Excellent project management skills; certification or coursework in project management is a plus.
Strong initiative in communication; proactive in sharing ideas and asking questions.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
Highly motivated and eager to learn.
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
Willing to travel outstation from time to time.
