This role is essential for bridging the gap between design and field execution.

The role is a 1-year contract tied to the current construction project, renewable subject to project timelines and organizational requirements.

We are currently seeking qualified professionals in the following disciplines:

Mechanical Engineering x1

Key Responsibilities
Technical & Design Support

Serve as the primary technical point of contact for a specific discipline (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical systems) on the project site.

Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and vendor submittals to ensure compliance with the overall design and project requirements.

Manage the Request for Information (RFI) process, liaising with the design team and consultants to resolve technical queries and design conflicts in a timely manner.

Prepare, track, and manage Submittals for materials and equipment, ensuring approvals are secured to maintain the project schedule.

Coordinate the integration of discipline-specific systems (e.g., electrical distribution, chilled water systems) with other trades.

Construction Management & Quality

Assist the Site/Construction Manager with daily site activities, resource planning, and monitoring progress against the construction schedule.

Conduct regular Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) inspections to verify that work is executed to the highest standards and in accordance with approved documents.

Assist in the management of subcontractors, monitoring their performance, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and managing the scope of work.

Maintain comprehensive and organized project documentation, including daily reports, field memos, and quality checklists.

Support the close-out process, including the coordination of As-Built drawings and final documentation handover.

Cost & Schedule Management

Assist in tracking and reporting project progress, identifying potential delays, and proposing corrective actions.

Support the Project Manager in change management by tracking scope changes, assisting with cost estimates, and preparing necessary documentation.

Monitor material deliveries and inventory to ensure timely availability of necessary components and equipment on site.

Safety & Compliance

Promote and enforce the project’s safety culture and guidelines.

Ensure all construction activities comply with local regulations, building codes, and client safety standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Project Engineering or similar role in the construction industry.

Direct experience on Data Centre, Mission Critical, or high-specification industrial projects is highly preferred.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure construction environment.

Mandarin speaking, reading, and writing ability is an added advantage.
