Job description

As a Project Delivery Manager, you play a pivotal role in Chemin's growth by mobilizing collaboration between Project Delivery and the Sales, Engineering, and Community teams to deliver high-quality labeled data at scale. Your success hinges on this collaboration to achieve favorable outcomes for Chemin, our clients, and our workforce of Annotators.

Reporting directly to the Head of Delivery, you will lead a dedicated team comprising Project Executives, part-time Associates, and Full‑time Annotators. You will cultivate a culture of excellence by managing the performance of direct reports, including career progression planning and maximizing resources within the team. You will continuously refine the manner in which we onboard, train, and guide Project Managers.

On a strategic level, you will spearhead initiatives to enhance processes and introduce novel systems to ensure project stability within 30 days. You will also work with Chemin's clients to ensure timely and quality project delivery along with driving account growth through recurring revenue streams.

In essence, as a Project Delivery Manager at Chemin, your role merges mastering people and account management, with a strategic vision for driving growth and innovation!

Responsibilities
  • Account Management & Project Delivery: overseeing all projects to ensure timely delivery, managing client relationships, and growing accounts.
  • Team Management: onboarding, training and guiding Project Managers; inspiring and motivating the team; managing performance; maximizing resources.
  • Strategic Initiatives: strengthening systems and processes, creating new systems and processes, developing new SOPs, and executing trainings for any new development.
  • Ensure alignment between Project and Community Management.
  • Build a high‑performance culture within Delivery.
Requirements
  • Ideally 4-7 years of experience in any field that requires people and account management, strategic planning, and operational excellence.
  • Preferably a minimum of 2 years of people management experience.
  • Strong project management skills with an understanding of how project management and people management are interlinked.
  • Self‑motivated with an eagerness to learn and continuously improve.
  • A team player, effective communicator with internal and external parties, with a willingness to be hands‑on when needed.
  • Ability to keep team morale high and ambition to build a high‑performing team.
  • Positive and open‑minded attitude towards challenges.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, bias to action, innovation.
  • Excellent command of English – written and verbal.
  • Ability to pitch and generate reports for senior leadership and/or investors, managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Applicants in and outside of Malaysia are welcome; fully remote position if located outside Malaysia.
  • Proficiency in G‑suite applications; familiarity with project‑management frameworks and tooling is a bonus.
  • Prior experience in data labeling/annotation AI projects is an added advantage.
