Job summary

A dynamic financial services firm in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced project manager to lead and manage software projects in the banking sector. Responsibilities include building and developing project teams to ensure maximum performance, leading projects from requirements through to deployment, and preparing proposals and project documentation. Ideal candidates will have over three years of experience in software project management, strong analytical and time management skills, and the ability to work under pressure as both an independent contributor and team player.

Job Responsibilities
  • Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, providing purpose, direction, and motivation
  • Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation
  • Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments
  • Analyse project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that project team adheres to project requirements
  • Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders, providing day‑to‑day contact on project status and changes
  • Prepare statement of work, proposals, and quotations for new projects & enhancements to existing systems.
  • Work with the support team to ensure that issues affecting the customers are resolved within the contracted SLA.
Requirements
  • Experienced with different roles and managed various categories of projects at planning, feasibility study, and end‑to‑end delivery
  • Ability to understand technology and business with strong analytical mind
  • Exposure to software project management with at least 3 years of experience.
