Job Description

Contract Duration: 18 months (January 2026 – June 2027)

Reporting To: Procurement Director APAC

Job Purpose

The Project CAPEX Buyer will manage procurement activities exclusively for Special Project X. This role ensures timely, cost-effective sourcing of equipment, machinery, and services aligned with Special Project X timelines and corporate procurement standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for CAPEX categories (packaging and material handling machinery, infrastructure, utilities (HVAC), warehousing, installation services).
  • Prepare bid packages, run tender processes, evaluate technical and commercial proposals.
  • Estimated a total of 200 purchase orders of various sizes across project duration.
  • Identify, qualify, and negotiate with suppliers; manage performance and compliance.
  • Draft, review, and finalise contracts in collaboration with internal stakeholders, legal and finance teams.
  • Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and finance teams to align procurement with project milestones.
  • Identify risks related to cost, delivery, and quality; implement mitigation plans.
  • Provide regular updates on procurement status, cost savings, and supplier performance.

  • Academic Program: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business.
  • Experienced: Minimum 8 years’ experience in procurement, with focus on CAPEX projects.
  • Skillset:
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP/Ariba preferred).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Personal traits: You have a structured approach, a driven and energetic personality, excellent communication and people skills, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.
