Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Malaysia seeks a skilled individual for CNC setup and operation. The ideal candidate will possess a degree or diploma in engineering and have experience in contract manufacturing. Responsibilities include reviewing designs for accuracy, operating CNC machinery, and ensuring safety compliance. Candidates must be self-motivated and flexible, able to work effectively in fast-paced environments. The position requires proficiency in using basic measuring tools and a strong commitment to quality and safety.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in the contract manufacturing industry is a plus.
  • Education: Degree/Diploma in Engineering is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards applicable to engineering projects.

Responsibilities

  • CNC setup and operation; tech tools, load programs and adjust work/tool offsets.
  • Review drawings, instructions, blueprints for accurate production.
  • Proactively identify problem areas and organize support for manufacturing.
  • Read prints and inspect parts for conformance to +/- .005 tolerance.
  • Check parts using basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges.
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Provide reports as necessary to appropriate staff.
  • Monitor and check machine productivity & efficiency.
  • Supervise overall production run with proper updates.
Job description

CNC setup and operation; tech tools, load programs and set/adjust work/tool offsets accordingly.

Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production.

Proactively identify problem areas and organize support for manufacturing with root cause analysis and process improvement that supports a lean environment.

Read prints and inspect parts for conformance, typically +/- .005 tolerance.

Check parts using basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges.

Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

Provide reports as necessary to appropriate staff.

Observe and learn Ascentec procedures and documentation.

Monitor and check all machine productivity & efficiency.

Supervise overall production run with proper updates.

Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Assist in any tasks as instructed by your superior and/or management from time to time.

Education and Qualifications

Experience working in the contract manufacturing industry is a plus.

Education: Degree/Diploma in Engineering is preferred.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards applicable to engineering projects.
