Job description

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production staff to ensure timely and efficient completion of production schedules.

Monitor workflow and allocate resources (labor, materials, and equipment) to meet production targets.

Ensure smooth operation of metal stamping machines, including presses, dies, and auxiliary equipment.

Lead, train, and mentor production team members to improve performance, maintain high morale, and foster a collaborative work environment.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to employees.

Address employee concerns, resolve conflicts, and promote adherence to company policies and procedures.

3. Quality Assurance:

Oversee quality control processes to ensure all products meet specifications and customer requirements.

Collaborate with quality assurance teams to investigate and resolve defects or deviations from standards.

Implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues and minimize scrap or rework.

4. Safety Compliance:

Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.

Promote a culture of safety by providing ongoing training and awareness programs for employees.

5. Equipment Maintenance:

Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is properly maintained and operational.

Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.

Schedule routine preventive maintenance to extend the life of machinery and reduce breakdowns.

6. Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction through lean manufacturing techniques such as 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.

Work closely with engineering and management teams to implement new technologies, tools, or methods that enhance productivity and efficiency.

Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production output, cycle time, and defect rates to measure success and drive improvements.

7. Reporting & Communication:

Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly production reports to senior management.

Communicate production status, challenges, and successes to cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and logistics.

Maintain accurate records of production data, employee attendance, and equipment performance.

Qualifications:

1. Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.

2. Experience & Skill:

Minimum of 3 ~ 5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a metal stamping or manufacturing environment.

Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse workforce.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and production schedules.

Knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA compliance in a manufacturing setting.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).

3. Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and move around the production floor for extended periods.

Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds occasionally.
