Job summary

A local manufacturing company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Production Manager to oversee operations, production planning, and quality control. The ideal candidate should have a degree or diploma in Production Management or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in the furniture manufacturing or wood working industry. Strong computer literacy and knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards are advantageous. This role involves ensuring that production meets customer requirements and delivery schedules.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the furniture manufacturing or wood working industry.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for overall operation, production planning & control, quality control and maintenance of machinery
  • To ensure smooth and efficient workflow in production activities
  • To liaise and work closely with production, project and sales teams to meet customers’ requirements and delivery schedules
  • To plan, organize, direct control manpower, material and equipment capacity to maximize utilization to meet product schedules and organization’s target and objectives
  • Responsible for production planning analysis as well as inventory control to maintain safety stock level
  • Responsible for quality control – incoming material QC, work in progress QC for woodworking, work in progress QC for finishing work and finished products QC
  • To control and verify non-conformities related to products, processes and quality system
  • Estimating cost and setting the quality standard
Qualifications
  • Degree / Diploma in Production Management / Manufacturing Engineering / Wood Technology or equivalent
  • 3 years’ working experience in furniture manufacturing / wood working industry
  • Computer literate
  • Good knowledge in ISO 9001: 2015 will be an added advantage
