Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm in Selangor, Malaysia is seeking a Production Manager to lead a team of Supervisors and Technicians. This role requires ensuring the production process aligns with schedules, maintaining quality and safety standards, and troubleshooting process issues. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Manufacturing and at least 2 years of experience in a fabrication environment. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with stakeholders are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in Sheet Metal Fabrication or Metal Manufacturing.
• Experience in continuous improvements preferably in a Fabrication environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Production Supervisors and Technicians.
• Ensure production quality and safety are met according to daily plans.
• Troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime.
• Generate and maintain process and work instructions.

Job description

• Lead, develop, and manage a team of Production Supervisors and Technicians to ensure the production process aligns with the schedule.
• Ensure production quantity, quality, and safety are achieved according to the daily production plan.
• Responsible for daily management, organization, and manpower/resource deployment.
• Handle production issues, collect relevant data, and initiate daily process improvement actions.
• Familiar with fabrication process control.
• Take charge of 5S activities.
• Responsible for the training plan for all fabrication workers.
• Attend internal meetings and other meetings as required.
• Troubleshoot production issues related to quality, process, or equipment to minimize downtime.
• Generate and maintain process instructions and work instructions for the fabrication process.
• Ensure products are fabricated according to drawings and quality standards.

• Degree in Manufacturing.
• At least 2 years working experience in Sheet Metal Fabrication or Metal Manufacturing environment.
• Experience in production planning, process control and continuous improvements preferably in a Fabrication environment.
• Good interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of stakeholders.
