Job summary

A manufacturing company in Malacca is seeking a Production Assistant to support the Production Manager in various engineering and planning tasks. Responsibilities include analyzing job orders, developing production schedules, overseeing production plans, and ensuring timely procurement of materials. The ideal candidate should possess a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, be proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and have good communication skills in English and Mandarin. Fresh graduates welcome as on-the-job training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Possess Diploma Degree or Professional Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Good command of English & Mandarin, both oral and written.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office Software & AutoCAD.
• Good attitude, independent, analytical, and supportive of teamwork.
• Good interpersonal skills and able to interact with all levels.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Production Manager with engineering & planning issues.
• Analyze job orders and develop the production schedule.
• Oversee production plans to ensure execution.
• Implement cost recovery ratios at all times.
• Request raw materials/products timely to avoid delays.
• Ensure efficiency of manpower for high-quality output.
• Liaise with clients and QC Department for quality issues.
• Undertake any assigned tasks as needed.

Job description

• To assist the Production Manager on handling all issues related to engineering & planning in the production floor
• To analyze job orders and develop the production schedule with the Head of Production & Operations
• To oversee & ensure that the production plans are executed as planned
• To ensure the cost recovery rations are implemented at all times
• To ensure the procurement of raw materials/products is requested in a timely manner to avoid delay in production/shipment
• To oversee and ensure the maximum efficiency of manpower while producing high-quality output
• To liaise with clients, QC Dept. and production floor if any quality issues arise or any rework services required
• To undertake any assigned tasks from time to time

Requirements

• Possess Diploma Degree Professional Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution of higher learning
• Good command of English & Mandarin both oral and written
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office Software & Auto Cad
• Able to accept challenges and work in a fast-paced environment
• Good attitude, independent, analytical and good support of teamwork
• Good interpersonal skills and able to interact with all levels as well as clients
• Possess own transport
• 1 to 2 years of experience in FRP Product Manufacturing will be an added advantage
