A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Product Manager in Kuala Lumpur to own and manage tech product solutions from strategy to delivery. This role involves coordinating teams, translating business needs, and mentoring staff. The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of product management experience and a Bachelor's degree in IT. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
Own and manage tech product solutions across their full lifecycle, from strategy and roadmap planning to delivery and performance tracking.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with objectives and smooth execution.
Translate business needs into clear product requirements, specifications, and user experience guidance.
Lead system implementation, enhancements, testing, and user validation activities.
Prioritize product demands, negotiate trade-offs, and manage stakeholder expectations.
Support business case development and assess the financial impact of proposed initiatives.
Contribute to long- and mid-term product and portfolio planning aligned with IT and business strategy.
Promote best practices, governance, and a culture of agile, cost-efficient delivery.
Mentor, coach, and develop team members while managing resource planning and performance.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
6-8 years of experience in IT product management, software engineering, or similar roles, including 3-5 years in a supervisory capacity.
Proven experience leading IT projects from planning through delivery, with strong knowledge of systems, data, and technology implementation.
Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies and ability to manage timelines and resources effectively.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including with senior management.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Preferably experienced in insurance operations or distribution models.
Self-motivated, able to work independently, and effective in team-based environments.
