Job description

The role leads the local procurement function for the Pringles manufacturing plant in Bandar Enstek, Malaysia, acting as the key liaison between the regional procurement organization and the plant team. The position is responsible for managing all local procurement activities, supporting regional and global sourcing strategies, and ensuring compliance with global procurement policies. The role partners closely with plant stakeholders, category managers, and procurement operations to drive efficiency, cost optimization, and strong supplier performance while ensuring smooth end-to-end Source-to-PO execution.

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead the procurement function for Pringles plant at Bandar Enstek, Malaysia. Act as focal point between regional procurement and local plant team
  • Manage all local procurement activities, including ad hoc sourcing, negotiations and contracting for items not in scope for regional category manager, issue resolution, local supplier management, shipment expediting, materials claim management and etc.
  • Support the sourcing strategy of the regional and global procurement sourcing team.
  • Connect plant stakeholders with MSP (managed service provider) for IDM STP support (Source-to-PO)
  • Advocate the global procurement policies (GPP) and responsible to educate the BU requesters on the GPP policy and compliances
  • Work with BU stakeholders, Category Managers, Process and Systems Lead, Procurement Operations Lead to identify efficiency and cost reduction opportunities
  • Manage supplier relationship and performance
  • Deliver upon targets and KPIs set by snacks supply chain and regional procurement
  • Attend plant supply chain deployment meetings
  • Comply with GMP and continuously improve our Food Safety Programme
  • Participate in Regional Sourcing activities and ensure regional / local execution knowledge and strategic input
  • Lead the execution and implementation of procurement sourcing strategy
  • Leverage regional procurement team to drive values
  • Aid in local supplier searches
  • Manage interactions with key suppliers
  • Manage financial reporting of procurement function
  • Manage transactional coordinators and balances workload within the team
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Deliver policy and process trainings to key stakeholders
  • Work closely with key customers to communicate process
  • Use data from Process and Systems team to set targets and drive KPIs
  • Work with shared services to standardize and automate tactical activities over time
  • Suppliers KPIs and service quality and performance improvement plan
We’re Looking for Someone With
  • A Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 10–12 years’ relevant experience in procurement
  • At least 2–3 years of people management experience, with a proven track record of managing a team of two or more
  • FMCG manufacturing experience, preferably within a plant or operations environment
  • A strong procurement generalist background, with the ability to manage a broad range of sourcing and purchasing activities
  • Solid knowledge of Procure-to-Pay systems and tools (e.g. SAP, P2P platforms and other procurement digital solutions)
  • Proven procurement fundamentals, including negotiation and supplier relationship management
  • Good understanding of the local supplier market
  • Comprehensive knowledge of purchasing processes and a basic understanding of supply chain management
