Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Department (HOD) in supervising, guiding, and coordinating the procurement team members.
- Issue Purchase Orders (POs), verify accuracy, and ensure compliance with established procedures.
- Source suppliers, evaluate quotations, and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.
- Review supplier price revisions and assess the validity of justifications provided.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and required quality standards.
- Assist in supplier evaluation and performance assessment in accordance with ISO standards.
- Conduct supplier meetings and audits when required to assess processes, capabilities, and compliance.
- Build and maintain strong, long‑term supplier relationships.
- Manage procurement records, documentation, and filing systems to ensure accuracy, traceability, and audit readiness.
- Prepare procurement reports and data summaries for HOD and management review.
- Support internal and external ISO audits related to procurement activities.
- Assist in improving procurement processes, systems, and workflow efficiency.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Superior.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in any field.
- Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
- More than 5 years of procurement experience preferred, especially in the manufacturing or furniture industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
- Detail‑oriented with good analytical and documentation abilities.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Must be willing to work in Shah Alam and able to travel when required.
Key Requirements
Must‑Have:
- Hands‑on experience with ISO standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Experience using Glovia ERP system or any similar ERP platform.
- Experience in supervising or leading team members.
- Strong negotiation skills.
