A leading paper manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a Procurement Executive to optimize purchasing operations aligned with corporate policies. Responsibilities include sourcing raw materials from local and overseas suppliers, managing supplier performance, and overseeing procurement systems. Candidates should have a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management, along with good communication and organizational skills. The Procurement Executive plays a vital role in ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective purchasing operations in line with company policies and procedures. This position is responsible for sourcing and procuring raw materials, consumables, spare parts, and services from both local and overseas suppliers, while maintaining procurement systems, managing supplier performance, and supporting ERP-related procurement processes. The role also involves aligning Jingxing China procurement policies with local practices in Malaysia, supporting audits and compliance requirements, driving cost optimization initiatives, and contributing to continuous improvement within the procurement function to support overall business objectives.
Ensure compliance with company Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
Source and purchase raw materials such as wastepaper, biomass, and chemicals.
Handle procurement for:
Local: Engineering parts, lubricants, bearings, etc.
Overseas: Consumables, chemicals, spare parts.
Manage instruments requiring third-party calibration.
Maintain and monitor the JXM procurement system, ensuring policy compliance and operational efficiency.
Develop and manage a network of reliable local and international suppliers.
Oversee and manage the local procurement system setup and execution.
Coordinate scrap sales activities and monitor advance payments.
Conduct annual supplier and contractor performance evaluations.
Align Jingxing China procurement policies with local practices in Malaysia.
Perform cost analyses and recommend strategies to enhance procurement effectiveness.
Lead and implement biannual vendor performance programs.
Act as key liaison for SAP/ERP systems related to procurement.
Participate in SIRIM, ISO, and FSC audits.
Any ad-hoc tasks assigned by the superior or management.
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Able to read/write Mandarin is an added advantage.
1-2 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in manufacturing. Fresh graduates with strong potential are encouraged to apply.
Proactive, results-driven, and highly responsible.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Strong communication and analytical skills.
