A leading energy company in Malaysia is seeking candidates for full-time positions focused on procurement and logistics. Responsibilities include conducting sourcing, managing contracts, and coordinating logistics operations. Successful applicants should have at least a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience, including 2 years in a leadership role. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently in fast-paced environments are essential. This role requires on-site work in ARA Damansara.

Preferably from the Engineering & Construction Sector.
Sourcing & Procurement:
Conduct sourcing for both project and non-project requirements, including price negotiation, supplier selection, and evaluation to ensure quality standards and timely delivery.
Purchasing Operations:
Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders in line with company policies, procedures, and specifications.
Contract Management:
Draft, review, negotiate, and execute various types of contracts (formal, short-term, and annual). Provide guidance on contract-related matters to project managers and operational teams.
Supplier Management:
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, quality assurance, and reliable delivery schedules.
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance. Ensure compliance with procurement regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements.
Policy & Governance:
Ensure adherence to company policies, standards, and guiding principles. Provide recommendations and negotiate directly with customers or purchasing teams when required.
Logistics Coordination:
Coordinate end-to-end logistics operations, including customs clearance, deliveries to project sites, work order processing, and timely invoicing.
Cost Optimization:
Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement opportunities.
Reporting:
Prepare and maintain procurement and sourcing reports with accurate data and timely submission.
Other Duties:
Perform any other tasks or responsibilities assigned by the immediate superiory from time to time.
International Coordination:
Liaise with overseas suppliers and partners to support procurement and delivery operations.
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in any field, preferably in Procurement, Logistics, Construction, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years’ working experience in a related field.
Minimum of 2 years’ leadership experience, with proven team management or supervisory capabilities.
Able to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, demanding environment, demonstrating strong hands-on problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels, including senior management.
A strong relationship builder, capable of working both internally and externally in an efficient and professional manner.
