Uchida MK Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Procurement Executive to join our growing team in Section 26, Shah Alam, Selangor. This full-time role is responsible for managing the procurement process and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and services to support our manufacturing operations.
Support HOD in supervising and guiding department team members.
Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing, terms and delivery schedules
Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions and other procurement documentation
Follow-up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and quality of goods
Maintain good suppliers’ relationships.
Monitor supplier performance according to ISO Standards and identify opportunities for improvement
Maintain accurate records and inventory levels to support production planning
Collaborate cross-functionally to understand business needs and requirements
Implement and adhere to procurement policies and procedures
Support internal and external ISO audits related to procurement.
Assist in preparing procurement reports and data summaries for HOD or management review.
Support the development of procurement processes, workflow and strategies to drive cost savings and efficiencies
Performs any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Superior.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a procurement or purchasing role, ideally within the manufacturing/furniture industry.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Proficient in using procurement and inventory management software.
Detailed-oriented with good analytical and document skills.
An analytical mindset with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Effective communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia
Able to manage multiple tasks and work under minimal supervision
Must be able to work in Shah Alam and able to travel.
