Job description

To establish build sequence and production workflow.

To create Work Instruction of the required process in the production floor.

To assess the required jig, fixture and tools.

To create PFMEA, control plan and risk assessment.

Provide inputs and support IE to optimize production layout.

To provide solutions and support for quality issue affecting production deliveries.

To liaise with engineering, material, PM and MIS on BOM/ drawing/design changes/issues.

To enhance processing techniques and methods applied in production floor.

Drive and develop new process improvements to reduce cost and increase productivity.

To provide training to production staff on the process, work instruction and improvement implementation to the production floor.

Analysis of production data for productivity improvement.

To lead/guide/train Process Engineer level 1,2, 3 on process engineering and line improvement.

To comply with all requirements of ISO (inclusive of all standards approved by the Management) and to adhere to general safety practices, standard operating procedure, work instructions, policies and guidelines provided by the company.

Other duties and assignments as instructed by superiors from time to time.

Process Engineer (Metal Work)

Optimization on metal work machine production flow and output.

To review the new drawing metal work fabrication capabilities and provide the process flow, BOM, estimate production lead time for MES BOO & BOM.

Establish WI for process plan, process WI and machine operation/set-up procedure for Metal Work processes.

To ensure the production processes are well controlled on process times, cycle time and material usage.

To lead production machinists and coordinate failure quality issue for root cause analysis, correction and preventive actions.

To ensure the production safety and 5S is documentation (WI) implemented and reviewed from time to time for the machinist to follow.

To rectify and provide solutions on any issue / rejection that affected production delivery.

Provide technical support for metal work department.

Analysis on the production data for any improvement needed.

To provide training to production staff on the processes, WI and improvement implemented to the production floor.

To assess the equipment/tools/Jig needed to be used in the production floor or processes with best cost saving to the department implementation.

To ensure the production floor/machine safety & 5S is carried out and maintained accordingly.

To lead/guide/train Process Engineer level 1 on the Process Engineering when needed to complete a task assigned.

Other duties and assignments as instructed by superiors from time to time.
