A leading nursery and preschool in Johor Bahru is seeking a dedicated leader to ensure the smooth running of its operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive teaching experience and proven leadership skills. Responsibilities include mentoring staff, managing the budget, and ensuring a high standard of care for children. Ensure the overall smooth running of the AZ Nursery/Preschool in terms of general administration, overseeing/coordinating all curriculum and activities deliveries by teachers.
Ensure the overall well‑being and safety of the children, and be responsible for regular good communication with every parent.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and management of faculty and staff – staff recruitment, hiring, development, training, and evaluation; provide motivation and a positive working environment; and lead school improvement.
Communicate the school's vision, ethos, and mission to all stakeholders/parents, be an active listener and motivator, and provide a positive work environment. The person must also oversee the Centre’s facilities by supervising the maintenance.
Regularly attend headquarters’ meetings or training programmes.
Prepare, administer and oversee the overall budget of the branch.
Oversee facilities by supervising the maintenance and hygiene of all facilities and equipment, identifying and planning for future facilities needs.
Ensure that the branch's operation reflects our company’s ethos and philosophy and that the company’s mission is implemented.
Public speaking presentation and promote the company positively.
Monitor and maintain standards set by AZ Preschool.
Monitor staff and children's attendance, lesson planning, guidance, and health and food services for the children.
Monitor and maintain an overview of the curriculum and co‑curriculum to ensure effective implementation and ensure the highest possible quality of education for the children.
To promote a positive and professional yet fun learning culture for the children.
Actively foster positive relationships with the children.
Regular communication and meetings with parents.
Handle complaints in a professional manner.
Manage the timetable and manpower allocation of teaching staff.
Establish a positive working environment and lead by example.
Work with the management team to resolve strategies to improve overall operational matters.
Provide appropriate mentoring and training to staff.
Communicate effectively at all levels.

Proven track record of career progression advancement from Intern, junior teacher, to senior teacher, to centre principal, and a business partner.
