We are seeking a Presales Cloud Engineer who enjoys engaging with people and has a passion for helping clients understand how cloud technology can support their business needs.
This is a client-facing role that blends sales, consulting, and technical understanding. You’ll be responsible for engaging with potential customers, identifying their requirements, designing appropriate cloud solutions, and guiding them through the sales process.
You don’t have to be a deep technical expert — but you should be comfortable discussing cloud concepts, translating technical terms into business value, and managing opportunities from lead to closing.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with potential and existing clients to understand their business needs and technical challenges.
- Conduct requirements gathering sessions, identify opportunities, and propose suitable cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Prepare and deliver presentations, demos, and proposals that align technical capabilities with client goals.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and competitive.
- Take ownership of assigned leads— follow up, nurture relationships, and drive deals to closure.
- Assist in preparing quotations, RFP responses, and technical documentation as needed.
- Stay up to date with cloud technologies and market trends to provide relevant advice.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through clear communication and professionalism.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and presentation skills— comfortable talking to strangers and business clients.
- Minimum 1 year experience in similar role.
- Able to communicate in Chinese language (Spoken, Reading & Writing), or comfortable with using translation or AI tool to communicate with clients that requires Chinese language.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
- Experience in sales support, presales, or customer-facing technical roles.
- Self-driven, organized, and capable of managing multiple leads and opportunities.
- Team player with good collaboration skills across technical and sales departments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in IT solution sales, cloud consulting, or system integration.
- Cloud certifications (AWS / Azure / GCP) are a plus.
- Familiarity with solution design, pricing tools, or proposal creation.
- Knowledge of networking, web hosting, or basic IT infrastructure.
