THE ROLE

This is a senior technical leadership position responsible for end-to-end Power Management feature enabling for next-generation AMD server microprocessors. The role includes driving the technical planning and execution of Product Engineering programs, with deep involvement across power management firmware flows, platform bring-up, and cross-functional issue resolution. This individual will serve as a critical technical point of contact to the business, design, platform validation, firmware, and product engineering teams, ensuring that Power Management features are robust, fully validated, and ready for production.

THE PERSON

The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in power management architectures, feature enabling, and firmware flows for server-class products. You possess the capability to independently drive complex technical issues to closure, communicate effectively with executive leadership, and lead cross-functional decision-making. You regularly provide technical supervision and mentoring to junior engineers, take consultative and leadership responsibilities for large-scale feature development, and influence the technical direction of multiple products. This role requires the ability to devise new methodologies, innovate validation strategies, and make critical technical decisions that impact the product line.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead end-to-end Power Management feature enabling for server segment products.
  • Drive technical execution across PM firmware flows, ensuring functional completeness and validation coverage.
  • Own complex feature issues, performing independent debug and cross-team coordination to achieve timely closure.
  • Lead the product development group’s efforts to characterize the product to customer specifications.
  • Devise new methodologies for PM feature validation and overall execution efficiency.
  • Solve sophisticated, novel, and non-recurring technical problems; initiate improvements to existing processes and methods.
  • Identify and plan product improvement activities to reduce cost, improve yield, and resolve quality issues.
  • Act as a key decision maker in technical planning, execution strategy, and cross-functional alignment.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Strong background in power management feature enabling, architecture, validation, or firmware development.
  • Demonstrated ownership of results for multiple products or large technical programs.
  • Proven ability to lead projects or processes of significant technical importance with cross-functional impact.
  • Experience resolving complex system or feature-level technical issues independently.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS
  • Bachelors or Master’s in computer engineering, computer science or electrical engineering, or comparable disciplines.
