As a Platform AI Architect, you will be part of the AI Center of Excellence (AI COE), a centralized platform team responsible for building, operating, and evolving enterprise‑grade AI and data platforms consumed by multiple internal engineering and project teams.

The AI COE operates as a platform product organization, not a project delivery or system integration team. It owns shared capabilities end‑to‑end, including integration services, AI enablement, developer tooling, observability, and governance. Success is measured by platform adoption, usability, reliability, and long‑term value, rather than one‑off delivery milestones.

In this role, you will serve as a technical and architectural authority for the AI COE platform. You will define the target architecture, design patterns, and technical guardrails for AI, data, and platform capabilities, while working closely with engineers to ensure architectures are practical, scalable, and production‑ready.

You will focus on platform‑wide design, not one‑off solutions, and will guide how AI capabilities are built, exposed, governed, and evolved across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the reference architectures for AI, LLM, and agent‑based platforms
• Design platform capabilities spanning AI Gateway, model lifecycle, observability, and data pipelines
• Establish architectural standards, patterns, and non‑functional requirements
• Review and guide technical designs produced by platform and AI engineers
• Balance innovation with operability, security, and cost considerationsCollaborate with platform, security, data, and application architects
• Act as a technical mentor and escalation point for complex platform decisions

Qualifications

• 9–12+ years of experience in software, platform, or data engineering roles
• At least 3–5 years of hands‑on experience working with AI, ML, or AI platforms
• Strong background in cloud‑native and distributed system architectures
• Experience influencing technical direction across multiple teams

Skills / Knowledge Required

• Strong understanding of AI platform architecture, including LLM enablement, RAG, and agent‑based systems
• Experience with Developer Experience (DevEx) principles, treating the platform APIs, and documentations as a product
• Deep knowledge of model lifecycle management, model registries, model cards, and AI governance
• Experience designing and governing AI Gateway architectures (e.g. routing, access control, quotas, observability)
• Familiarity with LLMOps / AgentOps concepts, including evaluation, monitoring, and safety controls
• Solid grounding in event‑driven and integration architectures, including Kafka, APIs, and MCP‑based interactions
• Experience designing data architectures supporting batch and real‑time AI pipelines
• Working knowledge of IaC principles (e.g. Terraform or equivalent), even if not hands‑on daily
• Understanding of observability architectures using OTEL, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo
• Strong systems‑thinking and architectural judgment
• Ability to translate strategy into executable designs
• Pragmatic mindset — balances ideal architecture with delivery realities
• Comfortable influencing without direct authority
• Platform‑first, long‑term ownership mindset
