Job summary

A manufacturing company in Kedah is looking for a Planning & Procurement Assistant/Executive to manage purchasing and production planning processes. You will negotiate with suppliers, control inventory, and ensure timely deliveries to meet production goals. Candidates should have a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, 2-3 years of experience, and proficiency in both Mandarin and English to communicate effectively with clients. Job description
Planning & Procurement Assistant/Executive
  • Purchase of right materials (Based on BOM) and meet customer forecast / demand.
  • Price negotiation with supplier.
  • Expedite and monitor delivery with suppliers to meet customer orders / production plan.
  • Control inventory towards company business objective – coordinate and participate in new potential supplier.
  • Ensure smooth supplied without affecting production plan / customer order / business activities.
  • To prepare, monitor & maintain all purchasing related documentation & report accuracy.
  • Liaise with internal department related to purchasing activities such as Production, warehouse & Logistic, QC, Finance etc.
  • To maintain and update data for purchasing related weekly/monthly/yearly document/reports.
Planning
  • Prepare production line planning based on customer demand & production capacity.
  • Plan production load to maximize efficiency based on available resources.
  • Coordinate and report on the resources constrain based on customer demand.
  • Analyze, report and coordinate production activities to control / improve production cycle times in order.
  • Effectively plan to ensure minimum change-over in production and minimum waste production set up time due to change planning schedule.
  • Provide continual improvement on planning and reporting processes.
Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in any Business field and related disciplines.

Good purchasing negotiation skills, knowledge of the market trends, business understanding and manufacturing process.

2-3 years related work experience.

Good command of written and spoken in Mandarin & English. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.
