Job description

Production & Capacity Planning

• Develop and manage master production schedules (MPS) based on customer demand and forecast.
• Plan and balance production capacity, manpower, and machine utilization.
• Monitor production progress and adjust plans to address delays, shortages, or changes in demand.
• Ensure on-time delivery performance and minimize production disruptions.

Material & Inventory Planning

• Coordinate material requirements planning (MRP) to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
• Work closely with Procurement to manage supplier lead times and material availability.
• Optimize inventory levels to avoid excess stock or material shortages.
• Monitor inventory turnover and aging materials.

Demand Forecasting & Coordination

• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service to analyze demand forecasts and order priorities.
• Translate sales forecasts into feasible production plans.
• Communicate production plans and changes clearly to all relevant stakeholders.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Track key planning KPIs such as production adherence, on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and capacity utilization.
• Prepare regular planning reports for management review.
• Identify risks and propose corrective actions to improve planning effectiveness.

Process Improvement & System Management

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain and improve planning processes, SOPs, and planning systems (ERP/MRP).
• Support digitalization or system enhancement projects related to planning and operations.

Team Leadership

• Lead, coach, and develop planning team members.
• Allocate tasks and ensure proper workload distribution.
• Ensure team compliance with company policies and procedures.
