Qualifications & Experience

• Recognized degree in pharmacy by the Malaysian Pharmacy Board.
• Current registration as a practicing pharmacist with the Malaysian Pharmacy Board.

Responsibilities

• Provide a quality service in line with the direction and vision of the Hospital.
• Ensure clinical appropriateness of prescriptions and accurately dispense them to the correct patient every time.
• Ensure medications are stored and dispensed appropriately to maintain efficacy and quality.
• Ensure monitoring is conducted as per schedule to ensure profitability in service areas.
• Ensure work practices are within the requirements of the law and hospital policies/standard operating procedures (SOP) e.g., Poison Act, Dangerous Drugs Act, Poison (Psychotropic Substances) Regulations, and accreditation standards.
• Ensure that standards and customers’ expectations are met.
• Ensure efficiency in the provision of ward supply.
• Ensure quality and sterility of medication.
• Ensure the provision of efficient and safe medication practices.
• Provide continuous improvement in various pharmacy services.
• Supervise work performed by staff in the service area in accordance with required performance standards.
• Facilitate the management of pharmacy inventory and formularies.
• Provide general administrative support within the Pharmacy Department.

Requirements

• Recognized degree in pharmacy by the Malaysian Pharmacy Board.
• Current registration as a practicing pharmacist with the Malaysian Pharmacy Board.
