Job summary

A leading oil and gas company located in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Petrophysicist. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the industry, including significant exposure to clastic and carbonate reservoirs. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, supervising logging operations, and providing expert recommendations. Knowledge of offshore Malaysia subsurface and logging interpretation software is essential.

• Minimum 10 years total experience as Petrophysicist in oil and gas.
• At least 3 years of experience within the past 10 years.
• Experience with various logging types is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct petrophysical evaluations for drilling campaigns.
• Provide expert recommendations on logging types.
• Supervise and monitor logging and sampling operations.

Job description

• Minimum 10 years total experience as Petrophysicist in oil and gas industry which minimum 3 years (out of the 10 years) must be within the past 10 years.
• Experience in clastic and carbonate reservoirs.
• Experience in petrophysical evaluation of thin-bedded reservoirs.
• Experience with various logging types (general logs and sophisticated logs such as NMR, dielectric, image log, RT scanner), and experience in providing expert recommendations on the suitable log to meet data acquisition objective.
• Experience on logging, pressure test and fluid sampling operation and experience in supervising/monitoring operation.
• Experience on petrophysical evaluation, support and guidance to the real time drilling campaign and post drilling campaign.
• Familiar with subsurface in the offshore Malaysia area.
• Experience with log interpretation software.
