Job Summary (Payroll Analyst)

The Payroll Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for a multi-state employee base, adhering to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.

This role involves data processing, analysis, reconciliation, and providing exceptional support to employees regarding payroll inquiries.

Job Responsibilities
  • Process multiple site off‑cycle payrolls for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure all monthly payrolls are computed accurately and paid timely for one or more sites.
  • Administer and maintain accurate employee pay elements in the payroll system.
  • Ensure payroll processing is in accordance with established Global Processes and Compliance Control.
  • Perform analytical reviews of payroll transactions to identify errors and drive compliance with payroll guidelines.
  • Prepare and process payroll‑related journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Calculate and process statutory and voluntary deductions, including taxes, EPF, Socso, EIS, benefits & etc.
  • Ensure 100% compliance in statutory submissions and reporting deadlines.
  • Prepare and submit various payroll related reports as per scheduled timelines.
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stay up‑to‑date with changes in federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and IT departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll data.
  • Generate payroll reports for management and auditing purposes.
  • Participate in payroll system upgrades and testing as needed.
  • Perform any other tasks or assignments delegated or assigned by his / her supervisor.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in multi‑state payroll processing.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., SAP, Workday, similar software) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Self‑motivated with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational, time‑management, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work.
  • Ability and motivation to learn new systems and global payroll processes.
  • Cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively with people at all levels across several countries.
