Overseas Testing & Validation Engineer (Alibaba Data Center)

This role is responsible for carrying out and verifying testing and acceptance work for overseas data center projects in the Southeast Asia region. You will support test documentation, manage test progress, and ensure testing quality.

Responsibilities

• On-site Testing Management in Southeast Asia: coordinate and manage the work of suppliers and third-party testing teams at project sites. Ensure test plans are properly implemented and fully cover all technical and contractual requirements. Work with relevant teams to solve on-site issues quickly and close them with proper tracking. Ensure all testing activities meet safety rules, quality standards, and customer delivery requirements to support successful project acceptance.
• Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) & Quality Control for Large Projects: participate in factory acceptance tests for key equipment/systems and follow standard checklists. Inspect critical quality checkpoints (e.g., electrical safety, structural reliability, cooling performance). Conduct on-site quality checks during project execution, identify potential risks early, and follow up until issues are resolved. Assist in reviewing supplier technical documents (BOMs, drawings, test reports, compliance certificates) to ensure they meet design specifications and industry standards.
• Work Location & Travel: travel is required based on project needs, estimated at 30%–70%. Main travel destinations are countries within Southeast Asia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above (flexible for strong candidates).
• Educational background in electrical engineering (high/low voltage), HVAC, or other relevant mechanical/electrical fields.
• Years of industry experience, preferably with data center or testing/validation work.
• Familiar with testing processes and data center systems such as electrical, cooling, ELV, and fire protection.
• Able to review test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
• Good understanding of project progress, quality, and safety management, with solid EHS awareness.
• Strong communication skills, teamwork spirit, responsibility, independent judgment, and willingness to learn.
• Experience in managing testing projects; PMP certification is a plus point.
• Able to handle pressure and accept frequent or long-duration business travel.
