We Are Hiring: OSH Coordinator (Solar Farm / LSS Project)
(As required under DOSH OSH Coordinator Guidelines 2018, Revised 2022)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) for solar farm activities, including solar panel installation, DC/AC cabling, inverter stations, piling works, and electrical commissioning.
- Conduct routine safety inspections at solar LSS work areas, including modules, structures, substations, trenches, and cable routing zones to ensure compliance with OSH and electrical safety requirements.
- Monitor the implementation of Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and Permit-to-Work (PTW) related to high-risk activities such as working at height, LOTO, hot works, lifting operations, and energized equipment work.
- Liaise with DOSH, TNB, local authorities, and project consultants during inspections, audits, and compliance visits.
- Assist in incident and accident investigations, especially electrical-related incidents, near misses, and environmental/safety non-conformances.
- Support Safety and Health Committee activities (if applicable), including monthly meetings, agenda preparation, and action follow-up.
- Promote a strong safety culture on-site through toolbox talks, solar-specific safety campaigns, and awareness sessions (e.g., electrical hazards, UV/heat stress, machinery safety).
- Maintain updated OSH documentation including inspection checklists, PTW records, LOTO logs, training attendance, risk assessments, and incident reports.
- Prepare routine OSH performance reports for project management, highlighting compliance gaps and recommended improvements.
Requirement:
The appointed candidate must attend a DOSH-approved OSH Coordinator Training Program, as required under Section 29A of the OSHA (Amendment) Act 2022.
