Nexgate Solution Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a skilled Oracle Database Engineer to join our team. This part-time role is based in Balakong, Selangor and will play a crucial part in the development and administration of our mission‑critical database systems.

What you’ll be doing

• Design, develop, and maintain complex Oracle database solutions to support the company's operations
• Optimize database performance, availability, and security through proactive monitoring and management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address business requirements
• Implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and disaster preparedness
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the database team
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Oracle database technology
• Install and configure Oracle Database 19c on Windows, Linux or Unix platform.
• Install and configure Oracle Real Application Cluster, Standard Edition High Availability.
• Perform RMAN backup restore.
• Remote support and troubleshooting.

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Oracle database administration and development
• Strong expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle database architecture
• Experience with database performance tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting
• Proficient in backup and recovery strategies, including Oracle Data Guard and RMAN
• Knowledge of data modeling, security, and compliance best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
