Job summary

A leading public-listed manufacturer in Jenjarom, Selangor is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to ensure optimal efficiency in daily operations. The role involves coordinating between departments, overseeing warehouse efficiency, and implementing inventory control systems. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree, over 8 years of operations management experience, and be fluent in English and Mandarin. This position offers a Monday to Friday work schedule with a focus on ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Operations Manager (PLC, Steel Industry) – Based in Jenjarom

We are representing a leading public‑listed manufacturer and supplier of various steel products, looking for an Operations Manager to be based in Jenjarom, Selangor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor daily operations to ensure optimal efficiency and compliance with company policies. Create schedules and allocate resources to meet workload demands.
  • Coordinate between departments to align operational goals with overall business objectives.
  • Oversee the efficiency of warehousing receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
  • Implement and manage inventory control systems to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Maintain the warehouse layout to optimize space utilization and safety.
  • Ensure timely order fulfillment while adhering to quality and delivery standards.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to streamline workflows.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in operation and warehouse processes.
  • Analyze current processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend continuous improvement initiatives in both warehouse and operational workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the warehouse and develop safety protocols to minimize accidents and injuries.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, quality management systems, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., ERP systems, MS Office).
  • Certification in production and inventory management is a plus.
  • Able to speak and write English and Mandarin (due to business nature).

Working hours: Mon – Fri (8:30am – 6:00pm)
