Job description
Operations Manager (Robotics / Automation)
  • Operational Execution & Process Management
    - Execute operational plans in alignment with organizational goals and production schedules.
    - Drive day-to-day coordination across manufacturing, project deployment, and field service teams to ensure smooth execution.
    - Monitor KPIs related to productivity, quality, cost, and delivery; escalate issues with proactive recommendations.
    - Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce operational bottlenecks.
  • Manufacturing & Production Management
    - Plan and coordinate production activities, including assembly, testing, and quality control of AMRs/AGVs or automation systems.
    - Take full accountability for purchasing and logistics, including supplier management, price negotiation, purchase planning, delivery scheduling, and resolution of supply issues.
    - Ensure adherence to SOPs, work instructions, safety standards, and quality requirements.
    - Responsible for managing inventory, parts availability, and material readiness.
    - Identify production constraints and collaborate with Engineering for corrective actions.
  • Project Deployment Support
    - Coordinate internal resources for customer site deployments, ensuring readiness of equipment, tools, and documentation.
    - Track project progress and support Project/Deployment Leads by resolving resource and scheduling conflicts.
    - Maintain standardized project execution practices and ensure accurate reporting and documentation.
  • Field Service & Customer Support Coordination
    - Oversee scheduling and dispatch of field service engineers for preventive and corrective maintenance.
    - Monitor spare parts availability and service turnaround time to maintain customer SLAs and system uptime.
    - Review service reports, highlight recurring issues, and coordinate with Engineering for long-term fixes.
  • People & Team Management
    - Supervise operational staff across production, service, and deployment functions.
    - Coach and develop frontline team members to improve performance, skillset, and adherence to processes.
    - Support hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluation for operational roles.
Requirements
  • Education
    - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial, or related field).
    - Diploma with significant hands‑on robotics/automation operations experience will also be considered.
  • Experience
    - 5–8+ years in operations within robotics, industrial automation, manufacturing, or related industries.
    - Experience coordinating production / deployment / field service activities in a technology or engineering company.
    - Experience working with cross‑functional technical teams (R&D, Engineering, Supply Chain).
  • Technical Skills
    - Understanding of robotics or automation systems, including basic troubleshooting exposure.
    - Hands‑on experience with ERP/MRP or production tracking tools.
  • Knowledge of Lean/5S/compliance and safety practices in industrial operations

    - Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
