Job summary

A logistics company in Malaysia is seeking a Logistics Operation Coordinator to oversee daily logistics and transportation operations. The role involves planning transport, coordinating manpower, and ensuring efficient operations by liaising with internal teams and customers. Candidates should possess at least an SPM qualification, with a year of relevant experience preferred. Strong computer skills are necessary, and knowledge of Mandarin is an advantage. Job Overview

The Logistics Operation Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring daily logistics and transportation operations. This role involves arranging transport vehicles, manpower, and operational accessories, while working closely with internal teams, drivers, site supervisors, customers, and marketing personnel to ensure smooth and timely collections. The coordinator also oversees driver schedules, site operations, documentation, cost tracking, and daily reporting to support efficient logistics performance.

Responsibilities
  • Arrange Transport, Manpower & Accessories – Coordinate transport vehicles, assign manpower, and prepare required accessories for daily operations.
  • Liaise with Marketing/Customers – Communicate with marketing teams and customers to confirm collection dates and schedules.
  • Coordinate with Logistics on Custom Forms – Work with the logistics team to ensure customs forms are accurately prepared.
  • Arrange Internal Transportation – Coordinate with internal departments to schedule in-house transport activities.
  • Coordinate Manpower for Site Operations – Liaise with site supervisors to assign manpower for weighing or loading tasks at customer locations.
  • Organize Accessories for Customer Sites – Work with site supervisors or customers to arrange delivery of accessories such as jumbo bags, containers, roro dumpsters, or IBC tanks.
  • Plan Drivers’ Daily Activities – Schedule and assign daily collection routes and tasks for drivers.
  • Prepare Daily Collection Summary Reports – Compile and submit daily reports summarizing all collection activities.
  • Monitor Driver Performance & Attendance – Oversee drivers’ daily work, and verify punch cards and overtime claims for accuracy.
  • Track & Summarize Transport Expenses – Maintain records of transport-related costs (e.g. diesel, maintenance, tolls) and prepare monthly transportation cost summaries for each customer.
Qualifications
  • Education Requirement – Minimum SPM holder or equivalent qualification. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, training will be provided.
  • Work Experience – Minimum 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills & Responsibility – Computer literate, self‑motivated, and able to take on a high level of responsibility.
  • Language – Able to converse in Mandarin is an added advantage.
