Job summary

Job description

Work under the system owner (PCFK) and Organo (Asia) on a 4-day shift rotation.

Shall be capable of taking measurements and interpreting information / data to operate the Wastewater Treatment Plant in proper manner, risk handling and compliance to system specifications.

Review, analyze and submit data, graphing and operation reports.

Conformity of all duties in accordance with works’, company, DOSH and Health and Safety regulations.

Perform sampling and in-situ analytical testing (eg pH) and review results of laboratory testing, sample types and methods for compliance with established standards and guidelines on daily, monthly basis and any abnormalities checking if required.

Provide standby coverage and work flexibly for operational demands when required.

To monitor and report actual chemical consumption on monthly basis (plan vs actual) and chemical tank level/inventory on daily basis via daily report.

To provide advice on desludging activity based on performance monitoring.

To assist wastewater operator in execution of Equipment Basic Care (EBC) which is one of the program to maintain the equipment. Example of EBC activity is change over pump.

To conduct any simple multitasking task (eg Pressure gauge replacement or zero check transmitter) together with wastewater operator if required.

To provide troubleshooting and/or technical advice as and when required.

To provide the training for the Wastewater Treatment Plant operators on shift on the following topic: Overall overview and operating philosophy, DCS.

Requirements

Knowledge in computer for DCS, system control and interlocking.

Possess a valid Cepietso-BP certificate

Knowledge in computer for standard, presentation and engineering troubleshooting software/tools e.g. Powerpoint, Flow Charts, AutoCad, 8D troubleshooting tool etc.

Alarm response and interpretation, understanding of priorities.

Organization and use of Quality Management Systems.

Equipped with organization skills and ability to adapt workload by priorities.

Propose solutions and proposals for problem solving and improvements.

Skill to communicate with the ability to communicate and build relationships with people at all levels.
